      Meet Dr. Kandalaft,

      Osama Kandalaft, MD was born and raised in Amman, Jordan until leaving directly for medical school at the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland (RCSI). After his medical license, he progressed to work as a House Officer with Trinity University in Ears Nose & Throat Surgery. Following a different career path, he was hired as a Research Associate at Brigham & Women’s Hospital, working on multiple topics such as Traumatic Brain Injuries, seizure disorders & sickle cell disease. He completed his residency at Baystate Medical Center in Internal Medicine with the UMass/Tufts program. After receiving an award for Teaching Excellence from Tufts University, he then moved further south to New Haven, CT to work as an Attending Hospitalist with Yale, New Haven Health.

      He is currently at Yale University School of Medicine, where he teaches medical, physician assistants, and nursing students as an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine.

      Fun facts

      I’m actively improving my knowledge of languages, I currently speak 3 proficiently, and 2 others with some fluency. I enjoy running, CrossFit, and watching Formula 1 every other weekend.
